Gym TRI PODS
Commissioned for an executive gymnasium, these forms evolved from the functional requirements to be visually delightful, and easily accessible to exercise equipment. Nature inspires lyrical metaphors interpreted in whale flukes, insect legs, and anthropomorphic masks with anonymous features. Two types, each molded in cold rolled sandblasted steel are fabricated to accommodate the stationary bicycle and the treadmill for the convenience of exercising execs in an open penthouse interior remodeled space designed by Morphosis in 1990.
